About the exhibition:

Creating art together. Shaping society together.

In the inclusive art project Touched by Art, the Bellevue Hall presents the results of a unique experiment: artists with and without disabilities engage in a creative dialogue. Ten pairs worked together for several weeks in Wiesbaden on new pieces – each encounter an exchange about perception, expression, and the question of what art can be.
In the Bellevue Hall, the works are being shown for the first time independently of their creation process. They offer insights into a collaborative creative process that is rarely seen and illustrate both aesthetic and social dimensions: inclusion unleashes creative energy and shows how vibrant art becomes when people engage with one another.
The exhibition showcases the finished works after their auction by Christie’s Germany at the Reinhard Ernst Museum. The auction proceeds will fund the development of new inclusive studios for artists with disabilities. The project is being documented on film.
Participating are EVIM, eigenART, Vitos, Facettenwerk, IFB Foundation, Lebenshilfe and other providers of integration assistance, in cooperation with the state capital Wiesbaden, the Reinhard Ernst Museum, Christie’s Germany and the Wiesbaden Casino Society.
