General information for applications for exhibitions and scholarships
Applications are to be submitted by 30 April of each year with all documents in digital form by e-mail to:

The application is valid for the following year. Applications via social media platforms will not be considered.

A jury composed of the members of the board will decide on the submitted applications. The legal process is excluded.
We kindly ask you to refrain from enquiries regarding the result of the selection process.
The acceptance or rejection of your application will be sent by e-mail.
In the event of documents being sent by post, they will be returned ONLY by way of an enclosed envelope and return postage.
Working scholarship
Every year, the Bellevue-Saal Art Association, in cooperation with the state capital of Wiesbaden, awards two four-month scholarships to visual artists. Applicants do not need to be from the Rhine-Main region.
For the duration of the scholarship, recipients are provided with a live-in studio at the Wiesbaden Kunsthaus am Schulberg and a monthly stipend. Continuous presence in Wiesbaden during the scholarship period is mandatory.
At the end of the scholarship, the scholarship holders present the works created during this period in a solo exhibition at the Bellevue-Saal. The exhibition is documented in a six-page leaflet catalog (DIN A4), the production of which is financed by the art association.
The call for applications is aimed at artists who have completed a degree in the field of fine arts at least three years ago and who can demonstrate exhibition activity. Artists without a formal degree may also apply if they can demonstrate their professional artistic practice through works, exhibition activity, and references. There is no age limit.
Exhibitions ”1:1“ and SOLO
Our exhibition concept ”1:1“ provides for one artist from the region to conceive a joint exhibition with an artist from elsewhere.
For a SOLO exhibition, artists can apply without restrictions.
