In 2008, the artist couple Werner Cee and Juna März moved into a property in a secluded location in the middle of Germany, just a few hundred metres away from ‘civilisation’. Over the years, this shift in perspective – the power as well as the adversity of the place and the experience of being small in this natural world or big with it – has changed their work. The course of time shifts, emergence and decay, birth and death are omnipresent, fantasies are set free, ‘knowledge’ is relativised.
The confrontation with seasonal and meteorological conditions is unavoidable; the slightest changes in light mood, cloud formations and vegetation are part of the everyday images and thus also of the artistic visual and sound worlds, literature and composition created here.
